Breeze in Busan | K-Pop Stars and Korean Culture Take Over Songpa for First-Ever My K-FESTA

Seoul, South Korea — This June, the energy of Korean pop culture will take over Seoul’s Olympic Park as the city welcomes the first edition of My K-FESTA, a new large-scale festival bringing together K-pop, Korean lifestyle, industry, and international fans for four days of music, discovery, and celebration.

Set to take place from June 19 to 22, the event spans venues including KSPO Dome and the Handball Gymnasium, with indoor and outdoor spaces transformed into performance stages, exhibition halls, pop-up stores, and cultural experience zones. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, the festival marks a new chapter in how Korea shares its culture with the world.

The festival kicks off on June 19 with a K-pop concert at KSPO Dome featuring leading acts like aespa, ILLIT, WayV, Lee Young-ji, and more. On June 21, the stage will welcome additional stars including ITZY, CHUNG HA, Heize, Lyn, Lee Mu-jin, and BE’O. The final day will spotlight traditional and fusion Korean music, with groups like Ak Dan Gwang Chil (ADG7) and Japanese guest artist Yuhki presenting vibrant reinterpretations of Korea’s folk roots.

Beyond music, My K-FESTA aims to offer something deeper: a space for people to touch, taste, and interact with Korean culture in everyday forms. Inside the Handball Gymnasium, over 100 booths will showcase products and experiences across food, fashion, webtoons, skincare, and more — all from Korean brands and creators that define today’s cultural lifestyle.

Visitors can expect pop-up restaurants serving Korean street food, demo zones with beauty product trials, and interactive displays for fans of K-dramas and animation. It’s a festival not just to watch, but to join.

On June 20, the focus will shift from pop culture to policy and business, as My K-FESTA hosts an international content industry conference. Attended by experts from global companies and Korean creative enterprises, the forum will explore the future of Korean content, the digital fan economy, and how Hallyu is expanding into global markets through partnerships in retail, fintech, and tourism.

Alongside the conference, export consultations will bring together over 200 Korean companies with more than 100 international buyers at Olympic Park’s Hanuel Plaza, offering a launchpad for Korean products to reach overseas shelves.

The festival also stretches beyond Seoul. Ahead of the main event, Hallyu-themed local programs will take place in Busan, Cheonan, Gyeongju, and Yeosu, introducing regional experiences and encouraging inbound tourism through linked travel packages. By weaving My K-FESTA into Korea’s wider tourism and culture strategy, organizers hope to boost local economies and attract a broader international audience.

Hallyu is no longer just about pop idols or dramas. It is a cultural ecosystem that shapes global style, influences consumer choices, and builds relationships across borders. My K-FESTA reflects this transformation — inviting fans, families, creators, and businesses to come together and experience Korean culture not only as entertainment, but as a lived, shared connection.

As Seoul prepares for this first-of-its-kind event, excitement is already building across communities, industries, and online fan spaces. The festival’s official website (www.mykfesta.com) and social media platforms will share daily updates, schedules, and visitor information as June approaches.

Whether you’re traveling from across the globe or just across town, My K-FESTA offers a front-row seat to the next chapter of Korean culture — not on a screen, but in real life.
