A high-speed ferry connecting the Hakata zone in western Japan and Busan, South Korea, will begin operation on November 4, according to JR Kyushu Jet Ferry Inc. The regular route connecting the two countries has been suspended since March 2020 due to the pandemic.

The Hakata-Busan route will be accessible on November 4, 5, 12, 19, and 26. The boat is planned to leave Hakata at 9:00 a.m. and arrive in Busan at 12:40 p.m. The route from Busan to Hakata will be available on November 4, 6, 13, 20, and 27. The ship will depart Busan at 3 p.m. and arrive in Hakata at 6:40 p.m.

A one-way standard class ticket will cost 16,000 yen ($109). Yet, the company has announced that 8,000-yen tickets would be available as a special rate throughout November.

The passenger terminal is only a few steps away from Busan Station, where travelers catch the KTX train.
