BUSAN, South Korea – Busan Metropolitan City, in collaboration with Busan Tourism Organization, announced the hosting of an enchanting night talk concert, ‘About Romance’, on December 8th at 7 PM. This special event will take place at the annex of the Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum.
This unique event is part of a larger project aimed at revitalizing the historic downtown area around Yongdusan Park, Jung-gu district selected in February under a Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism initiative to develop specialized nighttime tourism experiences in the city.
Following the success of the Gwangbokdong Record Fair held in November, this event seeks to further enhance the night tourism offerings in Busan. The concert is intended to showcase the unique stories and cultural vibrancy of the city’s historic center, bringing to life the alluring charm of Busan’s past and present.
The talk concert will feature a diverse line-up of artists spanning various generations, including singer-songwriter Choi Baek-ho, known for songs like “About Romance” and “Cheongsapo.” They will share their personal experiences and thoughts on romance, art, and literature. The event also includes independent publisher Lee Seul-a, photographer and studio Doo Noon representative Lee Hwon, and multifaceted creator Jonathan, who will engage the audience with their narratives on romance through songs, poetry, and music.
In conjunction with the concert, a variety of events to enjoy Busan’s winter charm will be held at the outdoor yard of the Busan Modern and Contemporary History Museum annex. From 2 PM to 9 PM, visitors can experience a large Christmas tree photo zone adorned with lights and ornaments and a snow machine creating a wintry ambiance.
Beginning December 3rd and spanning four Sundays until December 24th, the ‘Bosu-dong Photography One-Day Class’ will be conducted. Focusing on retro photography, this workshop will be held in the Bosu-dong bookstore alley. Limited to about ten participants per session, it will offer a three-hour mix of theory and practical photography, exploring the hidden charms of Bosudong, where past and present coexist.
Details about the event and prior reservation can be found on the nighttime tourism dedicated channel on Instagram @starry_night_busan and the Busan Tourism Portal (www.visitbusan.net).
