Busan Fireworks Festival 2024: Tickets Now Available

Busan, South Korea – The highly anticipated 19th Busan Fireworks Festival is set to light up the city’s skyline on November 9, 2024. As one of South Korea’s most celebrated events, this year’s festival promises to be more spectacular than ever, with enhanced fireworks displays over the iconic Gwangan Bridge. Ticket sales for reserved seating have officially begun, offering global visitors a chance to secure the best views for this dazzling spectacle.

The Busan Fireworks Festival, which first began in 2005 to commemorate the APEC summit, has grown into a major tourist attraction, drawing approximately one million visitors each year. This year’s event, set against the backdrop of Gwangalli Beach, Igidae, and Dongbaekseom, will feature intensified fireworks displays, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

With increasing interest from international travelers, particularly from Taiwan, this year’s festival is expected to see a significant rise in foreign visitors. The growing popularity of the festival has also boosted sales of travel packages that combine accommodation, transportation, and festival tickets, further enhancing Busan’s reputation as a global tourism destination.

Ticketing Details

Tickets for the festival’s reserved seating are now available for purchase:

  • R-seats (₩100,000 or approximately $75): These premium seats include a table and chair, offering the best comfort and view.
  • S-seats (₩70,000 or approximately $53): These seats provide a great view with the provision of a chair.

Tickets can be purchased online through YES24 Ticket and Busan Bank’s mobile banking app. For those in Busan, S-seats can also be bought at any Busan Bank branch.

The festival's organizers reported that early-bird tickets, which went on sale on August 21, sold out in just 20 minutes—a testament to the event’s growing popularity both domestically and internationally.

Proceeds from ticket sales will be reinvested into the festival to enhance the fireworks display, improve spectator amenities, and bolster safety measures. The funds will also support the hiring of additional event staff, contributing to local employment.

The organizers of the Busan Fireworks Festival are focusing on delivering a seamless experience that blends tradition with innovation. This year, special attention has been given to incorporating cutting-edge technology in the fireworks displays, ensuring that the festival not only dazzles visually but also highlights Busan's status as a forward-thinking city.

"The Busan Fireworks Festival is more than just a visual spectacle; it’s a reflection of our city’s dynamic spirit and commitment to innovation," stated the organizing committee. "We’re excited to introduce new elements that will enhance the overall experience for both our local and international guests."

Held annually, the Busan Fireworks Festival is one of South Korea’s premier cultural events. It features a series of pre-events such as street performances and talk shows, culminating in a grand fireworks display that illuminates the skies over Busan. This event not only highlights the city’s vibrant culture but also attracts visitors from across the globe, solidifying Busan’s status as a must-visit destination in Asia.
