Busan City, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is set to host the “International Organizations Career Fair” on July 17, from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Busan City Hall auditorium. This event is designed to provide local youth and university students with opportunities to pursue careers with international organizations and global companies.

The career fair aims to bolster the global competencies of young professionals in the region by providing them with direct access to representatives from seven international organizations and eight global companies. Participating organizations include prominent entities such as the United Nations Secretariat, UNESCO, UNHCR, UNICEF, WHO, ICC, and OECD.

Pre-registration for the event is open until July 16 via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ International Organizations Recruitment Center website or the dedicated career fair website. On-site registration will also be available on the day of the event.

The event will feature a variety of informative and interactive sessions. Representatives from international organizations will introduce their organizations, discuss human resources policies, and provide insights into various job roles. They will also offer valuable resume writing tips to help attendees prepare for international careers. In addition, pre-registered attendees who pass the initial document screening will have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews, gaining practical experience and feedback.

Furthermore, eight global companies will conduct in-depth sessions where they will present their hiring processes and corporate cultures. These sessions will be followed by interactive Q&A segments, allowing attendees to engage directly with company representatives and gain a deeper understanding of potential career paths.

In addition, the fair will host booths for the promotion of Busan-based international organizations such as the APEC Climate Center and the Global Urban Tourism Promotion Organization. The Busan Youth Policy and University Student Employment Support booths will also be available to provide guidance and support to attendees.

The “International Organizations Career Fair” is part of a series of events taking place across South Korea:

  • Seoul: July 15, 2024, at Seoul City Hall
  • Incheon: July 16, 2024, at Songdo G-Tower (Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority)

The second part of the session will include in-depth sessions for each organization and mock interviews.

There will also be side events promoting and providing consultations for domestic international organizations.

The event is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-hosted by the metropolitan governments of Seoul, Incheon, and Busan.
