BUSAN – FLY ASIA 2023, the vanguard start-up exhibition of Asia, returns with an enhanced agenda, championing partnerships across premier Asian entrepreneurial cities, cultivating shared progress and inventive dynamism.

Busan, pulsating with innovation, unveils the next chapter of FLY ASIA 2023, scheduled from October 5th to 8th at BEXCO’s luminous second exhibition hall. This sequel builds on the momentum of its forerunner, surmounting the confines of the metropolitan-centric start-up framework by forging ties with other pioneering Asian start-up cities.

Event Insights:

Inception Ceremony: Launching on October 5th at 3:00 pm, Busan’s Mayor Park, alongside a consortium of global city delegates, start-ups, and financiers, will inaugurate FLY ASIA, exemplifying the event’s spirit of unity.

Scholarly Dialogues: Spanning from October 5th to 8th, a mosaic of academic discourses encompassing 12 divergent themes will unfold. Among them, a resonant keynote by Margus Mägi highlights the discourse. As an instrumental figure in metamorphosing Estonia into a digital start-up haven, Mägi’s insights into Estonia’s evolutive trajectory and the paramount role of cities in sculpting innovation landscapes will be keenly anticipated.

City Leaders Conclave: Slated for October 5th at 4:00 pm, this symposium will convene thought leaders from eminent Asian start-up nuclei, including Shanghai, Shenzhen, and beyond. Their collaborative deliberations will orbit around the theme “Connect Asia, Fly to the World.”

Investment Vistas: October 6th promises enlightenment on prevailing global investment paradigms, emphasizing acumen from dynamic cities, spanning from Singapore to Vietnam.

Bespoke Investment Dialogues: Between October 5th and 7th, in-depth investment consultations are arranged, bridging international financiers with innovative start-ups.

Strategic Alliances: In a unique merger of film and entrepreneurship, FLY ASIA 2023 allies with Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Content Film Market (ACFM) to unveil initiatives like ‘Cine Fly’ and the ‘Busan Initiative’.

Start-up Duel: The coveted ‘FLY ASIA Awards’ unfurls on October 6th and 7th. With a generous prize repository of $180,000, 50 chosen startups from an initial pool of 186 aspirants from 17 countries will vie for glory. Come October 8th, the eminent ten will be unveiled, securing growth-centric investment and advisory endorsements.

Showcase Galleries: Segments like FLY 50 Zone and Cine Fly Zone will be the canvas for innovators to project their creations.

With “From Cities to Startups” as its driving mantra, FLY ASIA 2023 aspires to intensify the symbiosis between metropolitan nexuses and nascent enterprises. Expecting a convergence of over 1,000 start-up ambassadors, 400 investors, and 10,000 entrepreneurial visionaries, the event is poised to elevate Busan as Asia’s burgeoning start-up nucleus.
