Co-hosted by the cities of Busan, Tongyeong, and Yeosu, this year’s Namhae Cup marks the fifth iteration of the event, which has rapidly gained recognition as South Korea’s premier cruising yacht competition. The event features 24 yachts with 350 participants representing seven nations, including South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. The race covers a grueling 220 kilometers, providing participants with a unique opportunity to showcase their skills against the backdrop of the region’s breathtaking coastal scenery.

The competition kicks off with a coastal race in Yeosu’s Gamak Bay on August 30, where the yachts will sail through the stunning island-dotted waters. On August 31, the race will proceed to the historic port city of Tongyeong, renowned for its rich maritime heritage. The final leg on September 1 will see the yachts making their way to the Suyeong Bay Yacht Marina in Busan, where the event will culminate with a closing ceremony and awards presentation.
