South Korean rookie girl group NewJeans has achieved significant milestones with their hit song “Hype Boy,” garnering 300 million streams on Spotify and 100 million views on YouTube, according to their agency ADOR.

As of Monday, “Hype Boy” had recorded 300,100,390 streams on Spotify since its release on August 1. This accomplishment comes after the group’s songs “Ditto” and “OMG” also surpassed 300 million streams on the music streaming platform last month.

Furthermore, the music video for “Hype Boy (Performance ver. 1)” has reached over 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the group’s first-ever official music video to achieve this milestone. Released on August 18, 2022, as one of the three title tracks from their debut album ‘New Jeans,’ the music video attained this benchmark eight months and one week later.

NewJeans has experienced significant success since their debut, with “Hype Boy” becoming an international hit overnight. The group has since won numerous awards and broken multiple records. They have also become ambassadors for several luxury brands and released a song for their partnership with Coca-Cola. Their subsequent tracks “Attention,” “Ditto,” and “OMG” have topped various charts and achieved even greater success than their debut track.

The quintet gained prominence in the K-pop scene following the release of their debut EP, “New Jeans,” featuring three lead tracks: “Attention,” “Hype Boy,” and “Cookie.” To date, five of the band’s seven songs have surpassed 100 million streams.
